Book Character Dance

The kids always look forward to the end of October when they get to dress up for the book character dance at school.

Mamie was so excited that she finally got to participate this year, too!

The girls went as Amelia Bedelia and Pinkalicious

AB is more like me and a more reserved dancer. She prefers to sit on the sidelines and watch, but she did dance a few songs with her bestie, Emma.

Mamie, on the other hand, busts a move anywhere and everywhere. There doesn’t even have to be music, because that’s one of the neat things about Mames… there’s usually a song in her head anyway – it’s the beat of a different drum. I hope she’s always fearless and silly.

The girls had a great time, it’s hard to believe this is Annabelle’s last one at JBE!

October Photo Dump

- We celebrated my Dad’s birthday during the hurricane… there’s never a lack of help with blowing out the candles.

- My little darlings after church one Sunday…

- Tucker went to his first dove shoot. He was so excited and DW said he was so good the whole time.

- The 2nd graders at our school always do a pumpkin project with books. They choose a book and make a pumpkin that represents the book or looks like one of the characters. AB chose Cindy Moo. (She dressed up as Cindy Moo in Kindergarten for Book Character Day, so we had the ears and cow bell left over from that. #momwin

- We’ve been trying to figure out our family’s theme for this year’s Trunk or Treat at church. I bought a couple silly props and Tucker’s been having fun with them.

- The Daddies were at the Gator game one Saturday night, so Nen invited us over to have homemade pizza night with them. The kids loved making their own creations. Mamie loved playing with Quinn.

- TDW had his 2 year well check (a little late).

- School pictures came back…

- We went to the homecoming parade in town. Mamie loves to dance and every float that went by that had music had her up on her feet dancing in the street.

- We carved the pumpkins we got in the mountains at Pappy’s one night. I think they’re pretty impressive.

Moultrie

The day the little (& big) boys have been counting down to for weeks finally arrived!

We started our Fall vacation in Moultrie, GA at the Sunbelt Ag Expo. The girls were less than thrilled, but Tucker was in little boy paradise.

He was ready to go as soon as we parked and he barely rode in his stroller the whole day.

We started in the front with the red tractors

and made our way to the kids corner

After that, Adam, Lauren, Parker & Quinn had made it and we met up with them.

I hope Parker is always this happy to see us.

We spent the rest of the morning climbing on tractors and touching every thing we could.

We toured the Peanut mobile, and had our picture made with Mr. Peanut, himself.

The little boys did some shopping in the John Deere tent and we looked at some more tractors.

The girls were slightly bored, but there were a few things to keep their interest…

But the boys… the little (& the big) had the very best day.

It was everything I had hoped it would be for them. I’m not sure if all the girls will tag along next year, or the daddies and boys will be on their own, but I’m certain they’ll be going back!
