Tell me what ya think...

Before our dr. appt this morning, baby girl and I went to Michaels to take advantage of the sale on craft pumpkins. I have wanted a pumpkin topiary in the urns on our front porch for years, but have never done it. I decided this was the year and off to Michaels we went...
I wanted 3 sizes to stack, but they only had 2....

When we got back from the dr appt and I got Belle down for a nap, I put my topiary together.
The first one was okay, but I just wasn't sure if it was "me"...
So I tried something different with the second one. Now, I just can't decide if it looks good enough, or if I should do something else to it...

So yall please give me some advice.... what do you think? And if you think both look terrible, well just don't tell me! Ha...

These will go on each side of our front porch, beside the planters that will be full of mums this weekend (I hope)....

So here's Pumpkin 1:

Do yall think it looks like I just took some sticks and stuck them around it? I mean yes, that's what I did... but I don't think it's suppose to look quite like that?!?!?!? I think it looks kind of messy??? But what about the ribbon tied around the urn? Would the ribbon on pumpkin 2 look better there verses being on top of the pumpkins????
& Pumpkin 2:

I think this one is a little more me... its more uniform and simple... ??? I think I definitely like the pinecones around the pumpkins better than the branches... the pinecones just look more like our area, (of course they do, they came out of our front yard!)... But do the "autumn berries" look out of place? I just have a hard time with the whole "arranging" deal... florist was definitely NOT my calling... Ha...
So what do you think? Is Pumpkin 2 okay or should I do something else to it????

It's so cute! Can we rent that for the birthday party? (: I do agree with Arielle, I like it tied around the urn. I think it looks a little Christmas-y with it on top, but I love the pine cones!

I like both of them, but I have to agree with Carrie, the ribbon on top of the pumpkin does look a little like Christmas. Both arragnements are very nice. Oh yeah, when can you come decorate at my house? ;)

You know what I like! Pumpkin 2! If you think the bow on top looks to much like Christmass try it around the urn. Thanks again for dinner :)

They are both cute! I think number one just may be the winner though.

I think they look great! I would say go for the pine cones with the ribbon on the urn though! My first thought on the ribbon on top wasn't Christmas, it was that it looked like a giant hairbow!

Great effort! I have spent countless hours attempting something, stepping back, messing with it, stepping back, messing with it, etc. Finally I'm like-through with it!! I like pumpkin 2 with the bow around the urn. Did you try some of the sprays coming out of the top of the top pumpkin? Might make a cute topper, might look awkward. That's the only suggestion I could think of!

They are stinkin' cute!! You could always tie the ribbon around the urn itself instead of the pumpkin...

I think I've seen this in a magazine and drooled over the photos.

How very crafty of you darlin.

Annie, WOW girl, you are VERY talented!!! I wish I could do that! I LOVE the first one and it doesn't look like you just threw sticks around...it looks GREAT!!! The second one is cute, too, but my favorite is the first. People would charge lots of money for that. You did a great job! Happy Fall! :)
