Exciting News & that dang UPS man...

My second nephew, Garrett, arrived this morning at 12:28. He weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 21 1/4 inches long. My sister--in-law labored ALL day long, pushed for two hours, then ended up having a C-section. Bless her heart. Now I am definitely glad my parents are there to help out! Thankfully, its all over now and Garrett is here, healthy and beautiful! I've only seen one picture via my cell phone. (Man, I love a camera phone!). But as soon as I see him, (we're planning a trip to get our hands on him in 2 weeks) you can expect a Garrett post all of his own!
In other exciting news (way less than Garrett, but still exciting) I got a package in the mail today! Have I ever mentioned HOW MUCH I LOVE getting mail? Have since I was a kid. I always wanted a pen pal. Never had one. But, I did have cousins who lived in the mountains of North Georgia (that makes them sound kind of hillbilly and makes me laugh)... (there's that dot, dot, dot, again) ANYWAY, the cousins and I were always writing letters back and forth. We had every Lisa Frank stationary set available and put those unicorn adorned papers to good use! Now, I never was real big on a unicorn, but on that pink and purple Lisa Frank stationary, even a unicorn was acceptable! I thought about that stationary the other day when I discovered that Lisa Frank had made her comeback! Yes, right there in the card section of Wal-Mart I spotted a set of pink and purple stationary complete with matching pencils and stickers. My heart smiled at the fond memory of Lisa Frank... Yall remember those stationary sets or was I the only weirdo kid that liked paper, cards and envelopes??? (I STILL have a passion for stationary and cards...) Anyway, I had no intention of mentioning ole Lisa Frank but we all know that in order for me to tell one story, I must tell ten others during it. FOCUS, ANNIE!!!! Oh, yeah... mail.

I love getting it. It doesn't matter if it's a letter or card from a friend or relative, a postcard from those sweet people who are ALWAYS trying to sell us a new car (we hear from those friends at least twice a week), the new Pottery Barn catalog, any of the dozen magazines I subscribe to, or the Winn Dixie flyer (yall know I hate that grocery store, so if getting THEIR mail excites me, you KNOW I love it)... doesn't matter what it is, if it has been addressed to ME with MY address, I cant even explain it. I just love getting mail. Having said all that, imagine how excited I was when I got a mailbox of my own? Woah. THAT was a big deal. That ranked up there with getting to do my own grocery shopping. (it takes A LOT to excite me, right?)....

So now that we all agree I love getting mail, let me tell you this: our mail isn't even delivered to our mailbox except on Saturdays. See, our mail goes to the office (which is about a mile from our house).

Our handy dandy mail man does us a "favor" by bypassing that beautiful black box in front on our house and making all of his "speedy deliveries" to DW at the office. Yeah, its a REAL big favor when a notice for an out-of-state speeding ticket comes in and DW gets it before I can intercept. (Not that THAT EVER happens at our house).... So everyday, I have to wait until my sweetheart comes home from work at 5:30 to get my mail-fix for the day. It just so happens though, that the UPS man is JUST as helpful and does us the favor of delivering ANY package that has our address on it directly to the office as well. Yeah, that's a REAL favor when I have ordered something that I didn't want DW to KNOW about for a few more weeks until he opened the credit card bill, OR if I've ordered something for HIS birthday and its delivered TO HIM... REAL helpful. It's also beyond aggravating when I am waiting (yall know how much patience I have) for a package to arrive and it gets delivered to the OFFICE... Ugh. Dang UPS man! I think the whole United States Postal System is in cahoot's against me. Is this NOT AMERICA? Can I not have a package sent to ME, with MY address on it and expect it to be delivered to ME?!?!?!? Well, I guess it really isn't THAT big of a deal, but when you love getting mail, maybe it is! Ha...

Despite not being delivered to my home address, I did receive a package today. When DW came home for lunch, he was carrying a package that had "Kelly's Kids" printed on the outside. My heart began to race! Was it here?!?!? The package I have been waiting for???? A month ago, I hosted my first Kelly's Kids party. If you haven't experienced Kelly's Kids and you have small children, then get on their website right now. They have some really cute stuff!

Anyway, KK used to be a catalog order only company, but now you can order right from their website! Back to the party... I hosted a party and since then, everyone who placed an order, including myself, have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the darling clothes we ordered! Today, when I ripped into my package, I only got 2 of the things I ordered. The rest are on Back Order. No big deal, what I ordered is all for Summer anyway. I LOVE what I got today and of course had to try them on my Sweet Girl.... and for your viewing pleasure, I took pictures...

Here's what came in today... I love the name shirt, but do wish they had put belle under the anna and not all the way across... you cant really read the whole thing when she has it on, but its still darling...)I love the smocked crab, too... Its actually a top with matching bloomer shorts. They were sold out of Belle's size in the top, so I ordered the 12-18 mos, and she'll be wearing it this summer as a dress and next year as a top! So if I am still blogging, ya'll will see this one again! I can't wait to take pictures on the beach in this!!!

I've done some laundry, unloaded the dishwasher, and finished our daily "photo shoot"... now I'm just sitting and waiting on 5:30 so I can see what's in the mail today!!! (Just kidding...sort of...)

Belle is SO adorable in everything and she always looks like such a happy baby in her pictures!

I love Kelly's Kids and now that Charleigh's on a serious 'pretty dress' kick I may just have to order something for the summer (and something for Cagen too of course)!

Ok...I am SO loving the outfits. Very Very cute. I'm excited about the new baby in your family. I'm sure that Garrett is just down-right adorable, too. And I know what you mean about the mail mishaps. I had my undergarments for that dang bridesmaids dress sent to the meat man down my road. (His excuse was that Mr. W.A. gets most of the UPS deliveries)....Hello! Check the address and name! How hard is it? Enough with my rant...I know what you mean though.

Let me start by saying that last picture of Belle is the sweetest one you have ever taken and that's saying something!!!

Her new summer clothes are so sweet! I can't wait to see her at the beach wearing her crab.

This aunt can hardly wait to see Miss Priss in her Easter dress.
