Making Mud Pies

My mom got the cutest new summer toy to keep at her house.

DSCN1215It’s called a “Making Mud Pies” table. It has a sink that “works”, a big stand mixer and is just about the cutest thing ever. DSCN1230

It came with pans and spoons and everything little people need for making mud pies!

AB loves it and has gotten to play with it twice already, but only with water… we haven’t added any dirt yet. I know Grammy is itching to, though, so I am sure next time they’re at the house alone, some dirt will be involved! DSCN1210DSCN1212

Times have certainly changed. Back when I was a kid, we made mud pies at the end of the drive-way in our big “swimming hole” after it rained and the only “tools” we probably had was a plastic cup and maybe a little toy shovel! And then we walked to school barefoot, up-hill, BOTH ways, in the rain. It was rough, ya’ll, so rough. Ha…

Happy Friday!

And during that uphill trek to school, sometimes it'd be raining so hard, that it'd get muddy, and you'd just sliiiiiide back down to the bottom of the hill. And have to do it all over again...

Oh yes, I'm familiar with that one. ;o)

Baby Girl looks so precious in that romper...with them sweet little legs! She can't cook up nothing as sweet as herself. Best smile on a child I've ever seen...

this is just adorable!!! too cute! it's really bad when mommy wants all the cool toys for her kiddos more than the kids do (i'm that mommy)! : ) i can tell that ab (and of course grammy and mommy) are going to have a blast with the mud pie maker!

What a neat little toy. And it doesn't look like you have to get too dirty when making them...like I had to when I was little. She'll have so much fun with that. Annie, I want to apologize. I'm such a slacker when it comes to the blogging thing now. "Dashboard" is the only way I get updates on your blog. For some reason the new ones of yours don't show up on the sidebar on my page...which is how I normally keep up with everyone elses. :( Wierd. Will try to keep up more. Have a great weekend.
