In the fall, we started a little 4H Club. It’s been fun for the kids and we’re all learning a lot this first year. We’re just learning the ropes this year, and I’m hoping to really get some fun things planned for next year.
Our club officers (and Annabelle- she’s just a Cloverbud and can’t be an official member/officer until she is in 3rd grade), participated in 4H day at the Capitol on February 5th.
My BIL, Van and I took a loaded down Suburban to Tallahassee for the event.
We heard speakers on the steps of the Capitol building, including the Commissioner of Agriculture, who said he was a past 4Her. We had meetings with our state Representative and Senator from our district, toured the Florida State museum of history, and the historic capitol building.
We made our way to the Capitol building…
We got the best view of Tallahassee from the top…
and enjoyed looking down in the lobby, too.
dodged the rain in our ponchos,
It was a really fun day, and something our club will definitly do again next year!
