Happy New Year!
We spent the night ringing in the New Year at our most favorite place… HOME.
We had low country boil for dinner, then met up with Uncle Adam’s crew and Pappy, Nie-Nie & Grammy & Pop in our field in front of the house for fireworks, around 8:30, because we’re all either too old or too young to wait up to shoot them off at midnight. Ha.
After our fireworks, our crew sat around a fire and the kids performed on Mamie’s new microphone. Thanks for the microphone, Mom & Dad- that might need to stay at your house. Ha.
AB is always planning and directing a show (that was totally me when I was her age!) – the kids came out with props and made Grammy & Pop play parts.
Giant blow-up Mickey watched over us, and I laugh every time I see him, because WHO AM I? and when did a giant Mickey yard blow-up become okay for me?!?!? Ha.
When we’d gotten good and cold, we headed inside for the Netflix countdown to New Year’s, because it was around 10:00 and none of us were making it to midnight.
We toasted with sparkling cider and called it a night.
We are all looking forward to what 2017 has in store for our family.
