The kids had a great time, but no toys or snacks were safe from these three yesterday.
While Carrie and I did come prepared with our own snacks, we didn’t think about bringing any water toys… These poor babies were forced to take matters into their own sticky hands. See for yourself… Note that NONE of the toys below are ours. Also note the very good sharing we had going on! They were so good about sharing their
stolen “borrowed” toys!
They’d splash a little, then need a snack. They devoured the blueberries Carrie had brought. Then moved on to the goldfish. They all took turns digging through my bag and we found Allie standing by the fence with the bag of goldfish! Ha…
Before breakfast yesterday morning, AB had helped herself in our pantry to a little pack of Chips-Ahoy cookies. I told her she couldn’t have those for breakfast, but that we’d take then to the splash park to share with Allie and Gus. It was a great idea, except I should have brought MORE.
After they’d all gotten one cookie, they came back for more. Problem was, there’s wasn’t any more!
After we’d polished off our snacks and played with everyone else’s toys, we decided it was time to hit the road! We grabbed some BIRTHDAY (Yep, yesterday was Carrie’s b-day) lunch and headed home in hopes of 3 little somebody’s taking a long afternoon nap!
