The Sunday after the girls’ dance recital, we were looking for something fun to do with the kids and their cousins from Georgia. We didn’t expect it to be open, but checked the Blue Run calendar just in case, and as luck would have it, it was OPEN the whole week! We called Pappy and got his name on the calendar faster than fast! ;)
We spent Sunday letting the kids swim and kayak and just soaked up all the sun we could.

Our little crew headed back down on Tuesday and stayed the rest of the week.
The rest of the family came and went as they could, too. 
One afternoon, the boys chased this bird all around the yard…
and into the neighbor’s! Tucker’s little hiney peeking out as he climbed up on the fence kills me.
We swam and played all day.
We caught minnows…and bigger fish, too!
It should also be noted I took the fish off the hooks when none of the men were around.
We took boat rides in the evening
and had popsicles every.single.day.
It was the best surprise to get extra time on the run and it was such a relaxing few days down there.
The best way to start summer for sure!
