We spent the whole weekend doing what felt like running a marathon. It was a busy one!
DW, Adam, Elliot & Kelsey all headed out early Saturday morning for Atlanta to cheer on the Gators in the SEC Championship.
With Daddy away, the kids and I started out literally running…. in the Jingle Bell Jog. The kids always love this event and it’s a lot of fun. We got a cold snap on Friday, and the weather was perfect for the jog on Saturday.
Grammy & Nie-Nie were there to cheer them on to the finish line!
Parker & Tucker ended up being in the same age bracket as Maybree this year.
Tucker runs everywhere, so I really thought he’d do well in the race. I think he was confused because it was seriously the slowest he’s ever ran. He in very last place. Ha. Nie-Nie ran along beside him trying to show him which way to go.
Mames was concerned with winning. She had her heart set on being in first place. It didn’t happen, but that didn’t stop “Aunt Erin” from announcing in the microphone that she did. Ha.
AB & Emma after their age group…
Mamie & one of her best buddies, Bristol…
After a great morning at the fun-run, we grabbed some breakfast with Grammy and did some shopping and afternoon baking.
That evening, we headed to Trenton for the Quincey Christmas party. I love a family gathering and the annual Quincey Christmas was always a favorite when I was little. I still love being able to join in for the party, when our schedule allows. Being around my Papa’s brothers and sisters who are still with us always makes my heart smile. It’s like getting to see a little glimpse of him. The kids had a great time, too.
Sunday we rested up and waited for Daddy to get home so we could start another busy December week!
